Sight on Local Data I

During a local urban happening (i.e. ‘Stad van Ideeen’, organised by Flanders DC) in May 2014, an urban installation was placed in the city of Leuven. This installation allowed passers-by to look at the urban environment through transparant, lasercut plates that presented graph line visualizations of local data. Passers-by could change the topic of the visualizations by selecting lasercut plates from 15 available data dimensions (including social demographics, energy data, criminality, accident reports etc.). These plates could be inserted on top of the installation, with a maximum of 3 slots, which allowed passers-by to compare and correlate the data.

This project was a pilot-study for ‘Sight on Local Data II‘.IMG_5679
